Day 18/96

Good morning rockstars.

Another night full of storms but this morning it’s clear skies and business as usual.

It’s leg day today and as always on leg day it seems Kauri has to go out. It’s uncanny.

I’ve had my TKD coffee 30 minutes before training and it’s time to rock and roll.

I honestly don’t know what happened today’s workout dragged. I just can’t seem to get into my groove since dieting down.

First meal

Pork belly, 3 fried eggs and peppers. The tomatoes were decoration and I gave them to Kauri.

738 Calories.

Today’s push up challange has also been completed. I even videoed it and posted on IG 50 push-ups today.

And this victory was finished with 2 of Kauri’s Ketonuts.


I’m afraid to post this lol. We made cheese crisps. Now that in itself isn’t bad but I also had pork rinds. Talk about dry on dry and lacklustre. No salad, no tuna. I just wanted easy for lunch. I was going to have some salami and maybe even so olives but we will save that for tomorrow’s date day.


Tonight’s dinner was roast chicken (210g) and red curry.


The only thing I should have had some leafy greens today.

My bad.

The last thing I need to do tonight is a quick abdominal workout as it didn’t get done last night.



Day 17/96

Good morning, Good morning.

No sign of rain today woohoo. So back workout here I come.

You know how I’ve said believe in the process and do what works best for you. Well I love doing self experiments and even though I’m 2 months out from my goal I’m going to make a change. (So much for if it ain’t broke don’t change it.)

I’m going to start doing a Targeted Keto Diet or TKD as it’s known. This is more so for training.

TKD is where you take a certain amount of carbs (in the form of glucose or dextrose) 30 minutes prior to training. Today with calculations in hand I made my TKD coffee  (160 calories) and 30 minutes later I’ll start my workout.

To be honest I felt a little queasy. I’m so used to training in a fasted state and this wasn’t a pleasant feeling.


Today’s workout was ok. I didn’t particularly notice anything different. However, my lifts were a little better today. I put this down to an improvement on grip strength on both the shrugs and deadlifts.

First meal

Jalapeño poppers today.

860 calories of goodness.


I had my usual snack of plain pork rinds(35g) and also did some cleaning. I helped clean the fridge and ate two of Kauri’s ketonuts.🤣🤣

Its almost 1:30pm. Today’s lunch will be a thai salad.

I’ve mentioned before this was a Thai dish that Kauri taught me to make. When we have it this always reminds me of our time in Sydney, Australia.

Push up challenge is also done 50 today.



180g of roast chicken and Thai red curry.


I’ll just add in case I have someone new reading. I don’t add salt on the data but I do salt everything. I also have Magnesium supplement at night.


Day 16/96

Good morning Folks,

It’s been a night full of storms, rain and some slight flooding. This morning it’s still raining so today’s back workout will be postponed and changed to “My non training day”.

First thing today’s weigh in. I will still weight twice a week till the end of my blog.

Todays weigh in 215.6 pounds.(Again weight loss is NOT linear.)

First meal of the day.

Zucchini fry up. Being that it’s a cold miserable day today it’s time for something warm and tasty in our bellies.

This is a very simple meal to make. Some savory mince, add some spices of your choice and crack a few eggs on top.

Cover till eggs are just cooked.

This was a large meal and I also had a coffee with cream and collagen.

Calories 1178.

Morning Snack.

Kauri made some cheese crisps.

So light and crispy. Some cheese in the microwave for a few minutes and you’re done.

Calories  401.


Chicken Thai salad.

Afternoon snack.

I’ve had 3 of Kauri’s Ketonuts.

Surprisingly ive hit my macros already. Although breakfast was on the large side, so it’s understandable . Its 3 pm and that’s my last meal. My intermittent fast will be longer tonight.



So that’s today done.

Day 15/96

Happy Monday people.

Today is my second shoulder workout.

Overall it was a good workout. I’m still trying to mix things up a little to get my shoulders to grow.

First meal of the day.

Scrambled eggs today, no bacon just plain scrambled eggs. They were still light and fluffy.

4 eggs, coconut cream and oil for the pan. It really doesn’t get any simpler. This meal comes to 582 calories.

Morning snack

35g bag of plain pork rinds. I’m still very low on calories and proteins this point.


I had a tin of tuna and fried it in oil added onion, capsicum, chilli and curry powder and a little bit of stock. I also had a protein shake with almond milk. 517 calories.

Afternoon snack

I had Kauri’s Ketonuts. These little donuts are dangerous. 😂

These little Ketonuts taste just like the real thing. 600 Calories.

I’ve been reaserching for my next challange and I’m looking into TKD (Targeted Keto Diet.) I mentioned in a previous post that I felt lethargic as I’m in a deficit. By utilising a TKD approach I can have some carbs pre workout. These carbs come in the form of dextrose or glucose and are calculated for my bodyweight. Fructose is not used as it just refills liver glycogen.

It’s going to be an interesting process. While I was doing maintenance strength was not an issue but the past few weeks of deficit it’s come at a cost to my strength. Stamina is fine but no increase in strength.

I’ve just completed today’s push-up challange 41 today.

Day 14/96

Morning fight fans. Who’s going to win?

A) professional Boxer who’s undefeated  or

B) UFC champ going round for round in a boxing match.

I love going for the underdog but seriously this isn’t going to end well for Mcgregor it’s not a even match. It would be the same as a boxer taking on a UFC fighter in a UFC fight .

Its Sunday and last nights downpour has finally come to a halt. This mornings workout will be arms.

Only 6 exercises today but I felt every one of them. My triceps are already sore. I also changed some of the exercises around today to give some added ” muscle confusion.”

With Arms out of the way it’s 10am and almost time for my first meal.

First meal is one of my favourites Jalapeño poppers.

I’m going to check  if the fight is broadcasted on Truevision Today.

We are in luck it’s going Live in 1 hour so we will prepare some keto snacks. Ketonuts, pork rinds. That should last me 12 rounds lol.

Shhhh the fights about to start. I didn’t enjoy todays fight it reminded me of two kittens play fighting till round 10. I miss the days of Mike Tyson. The only exciting mixed arts fight I ever saw was Mike Tyson vs Ip man. Yes choreographed but incredible

It’s almost lunch time.

I honestly can’t beleive the crap people post on social media especially those trying to lose weight. I’ve mentioned before how much I hate cheat posts and people who justify them. Well this has to be the most pathetic excuse. Why post stupid crap like this for others to see.

I removed the donut photo and the persons Name but seriously what a inconsiderate and stupid thing to post on a ketogenic/ weight loss page.

I honesty don’t know why people that plan to cheat have to post it all over  social media to make themselves feel better. I have no sympathy what so ever.

Last meal of the day.

It’s the first evening in a few nights where it hasn’t been raining. So we finally get to go out to dinner. Tonight I’m going to have pork belly.

I’ve already done my macros so this will be perfect.

That’s tonight’s meal. The green chilli sauce is used on seafood as well it’s not sweetened.


My proteins a little higher than normal but that’s fine by me.
