Apologies for yesterday .

Yesterday I wanted to write about bad momma. But I thought why should I subject you guys to her negativity.

So I’ve decided to let sleeping dogs lie ..now that’s clever..lol

This morning is back day. I’m going to train on the door gym again. I really get a good workout for back.

Lat pulldowns, 5 sets 20 reps

One arm rows, 5 sets 15 reps

Straight arm pulldowns, 4 sets 20 reps

Face pulls 4 sets 15 reps

With training done, it’s time to go and help Kauri in the kitchen.

Breakfast

Eggs Benedict  and a bullet style decaf

It’s great that as a couple Kauri and I cook well together and we don’t get in each other’s way. Kauri did the asparagus while I was doing the eggs. Then we topped of with Kauri’s sauce.

After breakfast back in the kitchen and wash up while Kauri prepares her mum’s lunch. It’s a never ending and thankless job.

Morning snack

Chia pudding with pandan flavour. This was brilliant like a traditional Thai dessert.

So far my calories are at 1938.

Lunch was quick and easy. Salami, cheese and olives.

It doesn’t have to be complicated ..

People tend to complicate food choices and panic. Keto is as easy or as complicated as you wish to make it. We seem to be moving towards treats as rewards as opposed to focusing on weight loss. The longer my journey to more I see sweeteners being an issue along with bullet coffee.

Dinner

Chicken breast poached in coconut soup and mustard greens. I also had some walnuts and pistachio nuts.

I was slightly over net carbs today but this is based on 25 g .. I’ve explained before that realistically your carbs are between 5-10% of total calories.

Macros

So 4 calories over today.

Day 110

Good morning everyone.

Chest day today and I’m sore before I’ve even started. My shoulders and back are sore but in a good way.

So lets’ strike while the iron is hot.

Chest

Bench press, 4 warm up sets, 3 working sets negative pyramid.

Incline bench press, 3 sets negatives

Dumbbell pullovers, 3 sets heavy 10 reps

Decline flies, 2 sets same weight 10 reps

Weighted dips, 3 sets 10 reps 1 minute rest

Some good gains again today. Most exercises and reps I was at the maximum range so I go up again next week. It’s funny as the warmups felt really heavy. Today I was trying not to let that get inside my head space.

Breakfast

Scrambled eggs, bacon and hollandaise sauce with some fried tomatoes.

This was excellent or should I say eggsellent ..:-)

This morning was more cleaning up. Unfortunately that’s how this week will roll but part of my job is to help Kauri …

We went shopping to buy some staples, bacon, cream, eggs and we decided to get a coffee. I can’t believe the free WiFi was down so I had to entertain myself.

So we got coffee and a show .. These poor girls had no idea. I wanted to help but I don’t speak Thai very well. They we’re still trying to sort it out when we left.

With shopping and coffee done (I had cream in mine ) we had to head home to get bad mommas lunch prepared.

Lunch

Tuna, home made mayo, whole grain mustard, a small amount of red onion, cucumber and cherry tomatoes.

Tonight we are dining at the German restaurant down the road.

Dinner
Sausages, pork knuckle, seafood pasta are the order of the night.

A beer for kauri and a sneaky vodka for me. Believe me after everything we go through with grandma, we need a drink today. I don’t drink often.
The pork knuckle was really good, pulled apart nicely, the skin was crispy. The sausages were good. They come with sauerkraut and potatoes. Kauri will take and use them tomorrow.

Well I’m full. My protein is over and maybe I should post my concerns about it turning to fat .. lol
People need to understand good fats keep you fuller longer. If I had a BPC I would not feel full, far from it. Eat till you reach a state of satiety…

Eat smart and believe in the process.
Well that’s it for tonight. I’m constantly learning and evolving. At the end of the day everyone needs to take their own journey and find what works best for them. Make smart decisions based of science not on heresay of others.
