Day 74

Sometimes a change is as good as a holiday.

Like everything in life people and situations come into your life for a reason.

The Ketonix is one such thing. I’m not sure if karma is teaching me patience or to stay calm. Today my acetone reading was orange with 5 flashes, so mid range/mid level. My last meal was chicken but I also had a protein drink, around 70g. It won’t knock me out of ketosis. I thought my reading would be a lot lower. The readings are not consistent.

I’ve had a woosh, well a woosh in reverse. I gained 1.4 pounds overnight.

Today my weight is…

 

I wasn’t expecting a huge jump. Usually my gain is 0.2-0.4 of a pound. That centainly felt like a kick in the unmentionables. I honestly thought my weight would be at 220 by the end of the month.

Training:

Today is chest workout.

Bench press  5 warm up sets then 3 reverse pyramid sets 4-6, 6-8, 8-10

Incline press 3 sets 6-8 reps

Dumbbell pullovers 3 sets 10 reps

Decline dumbbell flys 3 sets 8 reps

Dips 3 sets to failure .

Very happy with today’s workout.

Breakfast

Scrambled eggs, avocado, bacon, 1/2 tomato sprinkled with course salt and oregano. Washed down with a bullet decaf.

 

Morning Snack 

Protein shake with spinach, almond milk and olive oil. Fat bombs and macadamias

Lunch 

Tuna salad, 140g of tuna, mixed lettuce, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese dressing, olive oil salt and pepper.

Macros to this point 

Protein: 98

Fats: 252

Net carbs: 11.1

Calories: 2668

Afternoon snack

Chia pudding

Dinner

Pork belly, bok choi cooking in bacon fat and a few strawberries. (Strawberries are my last choice for berries but some were given to us so it’s a treat.)

Protein was 20 g under I’m not worried at all.

 

Tomorrow will be the road trip (See how many road blocks we come across.) I will still post blog tomorrow night. Hopefully we will have something interesting to see on our trip.
